about

I am an independent cameraman with a Master Degree in Marine Science. I have lived and worked throughout the Pacific for the past 12 years documenting and researching some of the Oceans most amazing spectacles. From filming spawning aggregations in shallow water to documenting some of the worlds foremost Ichthyologists collecting new species at 130 meters . . .

skills

My first love is filming underwater but over the years I have expanded my skill set to include Safety Diver, Fixer, Drone Pilot, Timelapse Sequences, Stills Photography and the capture, analysis and visualisation of Ocean based scientific data. All these additional skills have enabled me to add more value to the production teams I have worked with over the years.

My Kit

I started out 15 years ago with a Sony FX7 moving on to a Red One in 2012 and a Red Dragon in 2016. All these camera I housed inside a Gates Housing to make sure they were ready for work and would not let me down in the remote locations I generally work. In addition to the cameras I seem to have a lens fetish !! I have added more and more glass to my inventory as glass is as critical as the cameras themselves. Then came sliders, tripods, drones, still cameras, filters, motion control and more Pelican cases than anyone should rightly own . . . . . .
